1 - Reflection on Previous I Search Experiencen - April 2, 2008
1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done?
I have done research on a volcano in Africa. I learned everything there is to know about it.
2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
Research is when you find out everything about whatever the subject is by looking in books or on the internet.
3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
My research was very successful on the volcano. By the end of the project I was very well informed on this volcano.
It was a positive experianc because I knew all of the information and felt that I had learned something.
2 - Reflection on Webbing Process (April 7)
1. I think the webbing process helped/did not help me find a topic because:
It helps me come up with alot of different ideas that r very useful.
3 - Why I Chose This Topic and What I Know About My Topic (April 7)
1. Topic: Egyptian Gods and Goddesses
2. Why you chose it: It is something that I don't know too much about and I think it would be interesting to learn about it.
3. What you already know about your topic: Not much.
4 - Pre-Notetaking Activity - in class (April 8)
1. Brainstorm a list of questions related to your topic.
What Gods did the Egyptians believe in and how did that influence their history?(This is my big fat question)
What were the God's names?
What were they the God of?
What did they do?
How did they affect the Egyptian's daily lives?
What art did they inspire?
How were they celebrated?
5 - Reflections on Pre-Notetaking - for homework (April 8)
1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
It was very hard to come up with a fat question that related everything that I wanted to research about. It was helpful because it helps me think about specific things I need to research.
6 - Search Log (due Thursday, April 10)
1. What have I learned today?
I learned that there are about 1,500 different Egyptian Gods and they were celebrated at all different times.
2. What problems have I had?
I haven't had any problems so far.
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
I will just have to keep reasearching.
4. What will I do next?
I want to find out more about how their religion was applied in the Egyptian's lives.

I found out that the egyptians believed in magic and that is what applied to their lives and how gods affect their lives is my question.
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
I am going to research more and if I can't find anything to solve my problem I might have to alter my question.
4. What will I do next?
Research how the Gods affected the Egyptians lives.
